Amy Winehouse's polka dotted Back To Black dress fetches $67,500




The tragic death of young Amy Winehouse has left a huge void in the world of music, but memories of her are still alive. Recently at an auction in central London her white polka dotted chiffon dress sold for £43,200 ($67,500). This was the dress she had worn on the cover of her Back to Black album. The bid was won by a South American fashion museum. All the proceeds were going to benefit the foundation set-up by Amy Winehouse's dad Mitch Winehouse after her death. In his statement he expressed "Amy would be so proud that her name is making a difference to young lives and especially that her music is directly making life better for vulnerable young people." The auction which was organized by Kerry Taylor Auctions also auctioned off dresses worn by Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor.
