The Lacoste LAB Collection brings forth the brand’s close association with innovation

Way back in 1933, Rene Lacoste and Andre Gillier had gotten together to create a new chapter of innovation and style, especially in the area of sportswear and equipment. Their first and foremost innovation was the tennis shirt, which went to become a style statement both off and on the court. In their latest try and bringing out their innovations in collection, Lacoste has finally decided to unveil a series of specially created sportswear and memorabilia, in joint collaboration with the best names of sporting fashion and craftsmanship in France.

The Lab collection as one would note looking at the pictures below, symbolizes the modernity and innovation that one would associate with the Lascoste brand. Featuring a host of products such as Carbon fiber white helmet by GPA Design, all-white designer bicycle by LOOK, pair of white surfboards by JP Stark and tuned to perfection by NOTOX, skies by Black Crows differentiated with the thin black border and all-white body, the green Lacoste soccer and rugby ball by MITRE Sports which also have the crocodile logo embroidered on them, and lastly the 3B thin birch plywood boomerang. Though we might not all have a use for the boomerang, but the other goods shall certainly come to good use, for those who have a taste for a modern and sporty style.

The collection items we mentioned above, just don’t end there. The link below shall point out to the various products in the range, including the special edition roller skates, cricket bat and ball and even swimming gear, which all come complete with the logo, and mosh-green bordering on the sides. Being a cricket fan, the cricketing did strike an immediate chord but there is a whole lot to look forward to. Hence, those looking to create their sportswear collection for the year 2012 do head up to the nearest Lacoste showroom where these items are showcased. Looks like Christopher Pillet’s team of designer have indeed created a few things special.
