I am still kicking myself for not being able to log-in at noon today for the Portero Private Louis Vuitton Event. I was so swamped at work! My favourite still was the Embossed Leather Clutch that they had at the teaser photo. This is a runway piece from Ready-to-Wear Fall Winter 2007-2008. That shade of blue is quite similar to the Bleu de Prusse of my other favourite bag. I still couldn't believe that it sold for less than a thousand. Sigh...this was an EVENT alright!

My Portero Private Favourite
Please buy me, Monogram Olympe Nimbus

Still available from www.louisvuitton.com, the Nimbus from the Monogram Olympe was a seasonal piece from Winter 07. It comes in Gris Perle and Charcoal Grey and can be wrapped up for you to enjoy before Halloween. Prices are PM $2180, GM $2860.
Mirage Exotics: Griet & Delft
After the Speedy Mirage, the Griet and Delft are my favorites from Vuitton's 2007 Fall Winter Collection. I guess LV is trying to revive their remaining stock because it came up on the website this season. The Griet being $9850 and the Delft $9100. Pretty pricey due to the exotic materials but ooooh so pretty. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.
The Motard Biker
Jerome and I had the opportunity to waitlist (ah...este) play with this $13,000-bag last night. The Motard Biker weighs a ton,
but the new color combination of exotic moss green and gray
is truly a sight to behold.
The bag is divided into three compartments, having a middle "framed" section. It is made of luxurious calf leather with the monogram flowers intricately stitched onto it. The attention to detail can be seen through the use of high quality, gleeming hardware. All in all, I LVoe this bag. It comes with a slightly "cheaper" pochette with removable strap that could function as a belt for the bargain price of $7K. Visit your local boutique to view this baby.
Thunder
I never did really see much of this bag, but browsing through vuitton.com, I realized how interesting this piece really was. I guess it didn't really become a hit. For one, the shearling confines it to the fall/winter season. I LVoe the vinyl material though, and wished they combined it with other accents. They're still available for purchase if you want to check it out. Visit www.louisvuitton.com.
Pre-fall 2007 Rewind
I wonder whatever happened to the Neverfull and Sergent. The Neverfull was the it bag late last year and I have seen a couple in action.
The Sergent, on the other hand, was the seasonal show stopper. I always LVoed the militaryesque material but could not justify the high price tag. It was definitely different and quite memorable. So for all you Sergent owners out there, drop me a line and update us about your unique piece! As for you Neverfull owners, continue rockin' those babies. I heard that the damier ebene version is coming soon.
Silver and gold decorations on every Christmas tree...
I just saw the gold in real life and it is just fabulous!!! Suhali is a line I need to get into. LVoe it!!! Price PM Silver $2820; MM Silver and MM Gold $3300.
The Griet
The Griet came out with the patent leather trimmings that the Mirage line is elegantly known for. Miss Scarlett is über fabulous donning it in one of her ads. Needless to say, it was a bit pricey. I guess they wanted to come up with with a more affordable alternative and out comes these beauties. I would die with those vachettas because they are thick and it is quite necessary to touch them. LVoe it anyways.
Prices: Mirage $3450; Monogram and Damier $1770; Multicolore $2030 Visit www.louisvuitton.com.
Palermo and Tivoli

Two days from now and these new additions will be released and scores of LV LVoers will be rushing to their stores to grab hold of one. I was in LV the other day and my LVoely SA showed me the new cruise line Speedy and the affordable alternative Griet with the regular vachetta. They didn't tempt me at all to put down my credit card but am sure they will get into the arms of fashionistas somehow.
Prices: Palermo PM $970; GM $1170 Visit www.louisvuitton.com.
Christmas Balls a la Vuitton
Slated also to be released for this Holiday Season are these balls-a-bangin' key rings. I have not seen them in real life but judging from the pics, I think the Jack and Lucie from Halloween past were cuter. Comes in blue and rose.
Interesting items in LV Manila
By
ekkii

I saw these little LVoelies just begging to be purchased in Manila but unfortunately/fortunately the price was too steep for me. They are quite heavy but soooo cute and adorable that I just want to gobble them up. Added feature is the mirror within. A much needed visit to the Maryland boutique is in order to ascertain if these have been released yet.
Denim Néo Cabby

Even though this bag has been released for quite some time now, I think a featurette about it is in order. Versatile and highly functional, this new introduction to the denim line is highly sought after. I really LVoe the black denim and worry-free leather trim. It also comes in blue with untreated vachetta. It's roomy and you have a choice to use it as a handheld or shoulder bag. I go gah-gah for pleats and I don't even know why, so that was an instant plus for me. The only thing that kept me from adding this baby to my collection is the made in the USA tag. I'm a big made-in-France-LV-LVoer. Available on eluxury.com or louisvuitton.com. GM is $1720; MM is $1500.
Ladies, line-up please!

In the wake of the Speedy Mirage's release, I am wondering if I would ever have a chance to see the other Fall Winter Collections of LV. The left one is the Motard and the right is the Delft Mirage. Both having alligator trimmings and is worth close to a house and lot in the Philippines. LVoe it!!!
Bordeaux or Noir?!?
I saw both colors today and I am now extremely torn between which one to get. I didn't really like the black at first glance. When I saw the bordeaux, it kind of peaked my interest since it was different and I LVoe the maroon alcantara lining. The black is truly classic and I think a lot more people prefer that. But there was something about the bordeaux that just captured my fancy. ARRRGGHHH, I really can't decide.
Slowly but Surely --- The Speedy Mirage
Another happy LVoer has received her Speedy Mirage today but this time in Bordeaux. Click here to view the actual post by karrey. I LVoe it!!!
Seam or No Seam?!?

With only nine days to go for the supposed release of the Speedy Mirage, the pressing question of the moment is whether it will have a seam at the bottom. This will afford the bag to have both sides with the "LV" on the upright position. Arjay attests to the fact that the bag he saw on Tuesday's Trunk Show had a seam. It is probably one of the most attractive features of this much awaited bag. Unfortunately, this photo from Cecilia Van Straten's flickr post clearly shows that it lacks the said seam. Oh well, I guess we will have to agonize and wait for its eminent release to find out. It's making me quite antsy...
Speedy Mirage already released in the UK!!!

Wow, Spikette from the Purse Forum is one lucky gal. She has her Speedy Mirage already and is raving about it!!! LVoe it!!! LVoe it!!! LVoe it!!! To view her post click here. Photo credit: Spikette
Trevi in Damier Canvas

Just a quick photo update of the newly released Trevi. LVoe it!!! PM $1460; GM $1800. Photo credit: fannz (tPFer)
