Louis Vuitton Mousseline and Mink Demi Lune

I have a very weak spot for the limited and runway that I just had to feature this Mousseline and Mink Demi Lune from Fall Winter of 2005-2006. Crafted out of chiffon with the Monogram in beaded embroidery, this small evening bag (6¼" L x 5" T x 3½" D) is trimmed in luxurious mink and python. Even the satin dust bag spells luxe all the way. Sold by Max Pawn in Malleries, I am in no way shape or form connected with them. Just a true LVoer here!

From Jeeves with LVoe: Sprouse Graffiti 2001 Hat Boxes

Hello,

Let me first start off with saying that I love you blog and all your pictures. Recently I have seen you add some pictures of your views, so I wanted to share a few pictures with you. I have both graffiti hat boxes that were originally released in 2001. They both come with everything, keys, dust bag, and luggage tags. :) I though that your views would love seeing a "blast from the past". If you post it, it would be great, and if not, that is also fine too. Keep up the great work on your blog!!!

Thanks,
Jeeves
The first Vuitton-Sprouse collaboration was released for Spring Summer of 2001 called the Graffiti collection "Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton". Since the artist passed away in 2004 the later Graffiti line was changed to "Louis Vuitton for Stephen Sprouse". Marc Jacobs was quoted to say: “I tried to take what Stephen had done at Vuitton and then kind of flip it in my head, and make it Vuitton’s work for Stephen, not Stephen’s work for Vuitton."
The original collaboration has its origins in the time when Jacobs was looking for a Paris apartment. When he looked at Charlotte Gainsbourg’s space on the rue du Bac, he stumbled across a Vuitton Monogram canvas trunk, which the actress’s legendary father, Serge, had painted over in black. It eventually inspired him to collaborate with Sprouse for spring 2001. “For me, this monogram graffiti was the first milestone of our permanent reinvention of our history,” said Vuitton president and chief executive officer Yves Carcelle. You were extremely LVcky to have acquired not only one but two of the Sprouse Boîte de Chapeau, Jeeves and I thank you for sending your photos in for my readers to see. LVoe it, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2006 Tupelo GM

If you have been following my blog for quite some time now, you know how much I LVoe featuring pieces from seasons past. The Tupelo GM was released in the Spring Summer of 2006 and was part of Les Extraordinaire Collection. Crafted out of pony hair, the bag is studded with cabochons and beadwork. The straps are crafted out of brass links that has the Monogram on it. I wonder how many pieces were made and were they popular at that time? I guess bovine was a theme for that year which I am not so wild about. I wish I kept the source of these photos. So if you own these, please e-mail me so that I could give credit.

Louis Vuitton Alligator Alma

If you have been reading my blog for quite some time now, you probably would have guessed that I have a weakness for exceptional pieces. I was surfing the net the other day and saw this iconic Alma Exotique. Crafted out of alligator skin, the piece is a luscious Havanne colour. Judging from the Code RI1906, it dates it to October of 1996. The seller claims that the purchase price was $18000 which is about right and if I only have ten grand lying around, this baby would have been my bag for this weekend. Check out the website by clicking here. LVoe it!!!

Lil' Kim and the Ambre GM

Hi there,

I was just wondering if you knew much about this bag? This is the only
picture Ive ever seen of it and im really curious!! Im unable to find
out any info/ hi res pics anywhere else.

Many thanks

Henry Edwards

Hi there Henry,
The bag in the foreground comes from the Monogram Ambre Collection and is called the Cabas Ambre GM. It was released for Cruise 2004 as a seasonal collection. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in stores and can only be purchased through re-sellers. Be careful though, because this is a much faked LV so there are a lot of counterfeits out there. I have only seen one in real life which is the smaller version of this bag. Thanks for visiting my blog!

LVoe it,

Francis

Louis Vuitton Monogram Mat Collection

This is what I LVoe, LVoe, LVoe about blogging. A couple of days ago, I posted an information request from an Anonymous reader about the Monogram Mat. I could only offer photos from Le Catalogue since I don't know much about this line. Today I received actual colour pics of not only the bags but small leather goods as well. Thanks to B. regs, we can better appreciate this discontinued collection in all its glory. LVoe it!!! Enjoy! Is this a Malden PM? An Anonymous poster just informed me that this is the Shelton. Thanks.

If LVoe Readers can contribute prices or any info, (ahem...Mr. Duck) it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Anonymous for inquiring about this. I LVoe thumbing through the old catalogue.

Sybilla for Louis Vuitton

One of my greatest weaknesses in the world of Louis Vuitton is finding old pieces that are unique and no longer available. Back in 1996, LV commissioned several artists to celebrate the centennial of the Monogram Canvas. (Click here to see my previous post many moons ago.) So, when I happened upon this on a reseller website, I was thrilled! This rucksack was created by Spanish designer, Sybilla. The umbrella is simply adorable but I truly wonder if this is at all useful. Check out the website here and enjoy the photos. LVoe it!!!
