Only one person is capable of inducing bold craziness in the name of fashion. It is none other than Karl Lagerfeld. For the autumn/winter 2012-13 Chanel's fashion show, he unveiled the jeweled eyebrows look. Inspired by Lagerfeld's sketch with words such as minerals, shading and eyebrows scribbled on it, the jeweled eyebrows included several shades of mineral stones, crystals, anthracite grey sequin and pearl bases. Peter Philips creative director of Chanel Make-up said "So the focus was on the eyebrows, which led me to interpret Karl's drawing and the 'mineral' emphasis by creating straight, graphic eyebrows".
Philips teamed up with Maison Lesage to create these one-of a-kind embroidered eyebrows in colors of greens, pinks, blues and greys. The sets were created first and then glued over the the model's own eyebrows. All the jeweled eyebrows were coordinated with the clothing the models wore. While we are pretty sure this look is very appealing to the avant-garde genre, we would like to know if this trend would catch on.
