How do you attract luxury lovers to a less known island in Florida as spring comes around? Well, you tie up with an auto enthusiast to create a classic car show! That is precisely what the GM Michael Carsch at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in 1995 did as he collaborated with local car collector, Bill Warner. And this year the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance considered to be most prestigious show on the east coast enters its 17th year. Unlike the first car show that had 125 cars, and drew only 2,000 car enthusiasts, this year you can expect 250 cars and well over 18,000 people.
The event will open doors to public on the March 11, 2012. Tickets are priced at $50 for adults if picked up in advance and $60 the day of show. For Student between 12-18 and active military tickets are priced at $25 and free for those below 12 if accompanied with a paying adult.
