Eeeekkk!!! The Louis Vuitton Travel Room in Soho, New York City is now open! My SA was telling me about this but I really couldn't imagine it. The first in North America, this room, as the name implies, is designed to cater to one's travel needs. After all, LV grew from being a trunk-maker so it's nice to see that they are still paying homage to their history. I can't wait to get to the Big Apple to see this first hand. LVoe it!!!

And it's not just any store, it's a Maison, one of the 13 boutiques that holds this title was opened today for the Aussie Fashionistas down under. Cate Blanchett was invited to do the honors of cutting the ribbon. The new store is located on George and King Street, just across the road from the Apple store. As a side note, I read that Yves Carcelle, exiting chief executive of LV popped into the Manila store (my home country) on Thursday. LVoe it!!!

What better way to start the month of December than to have Louis Vuitton open a new boutique! I was invited by my LVoely SA to see the new store before it opens to the public. Here are some stolen shots that I took and I hope you enjoy them!

Of course, in such expensive surroundings where I saw the $14,000 Exotic -trimmed Mahina or the $9,000 Birdie Alma, my eye caught the cheapest thing on the shelves - The Louis Vuitton Architecture and Interiors book in its limited edition Damier sleeve. I think there are three versions of this cover but I didn't have a choice since it was their only copy and I would like to have a souvenir of the opening.

Singapore will welcome a new luxury shopping destination and retail icon
when Louis Vuitton opens its first Island Maison at the Marina Bay Sands in September of this year. The
Maison will sit on the waterfront of the Marina Bay promenade and will be a distinctive landmark in the
celebrated landscape around the bay.
The Louis Vuitton Island Maison is a one of a kind concept for the luxury brand, and will feature nauticalinspired
interiors exclusively designed by internationally acclaimed and award winning architect Peter
Marino. Visitors can look forward to a unique and sophisticated retail experience as the first Louis Vuitton
Maison in Southeast Asia will incorporate art and cultural elements in its retail space.
The ground floor of the Island Maison will feature the complete selection of men’s and women’s leather
goods, ready to wear, shoes and accessories. Keeping close to the brand’s DNA where the desire is to
transform every journey into a refined and personal experience, the mezzanine level will celebrate the
romance of travel by dedicating an area to travel luggage and accessories in the first Travel Room in
Asia Pacific. There will also be a private lounge for intimate presentations as well as an outdoor loggia
reminiscent of a deck on a luxury yacht.
From the island, visitors can travel through a tunnel that will showcase pieces of contemporary artwork.
The tunnel connects to the Marina Bay Sands mall and visitors will arrive at the Louis Vuitton bookstore,
where they can browse through a specially curated range of design, cultural and art books. A spiral
staircase on the same floor will lead visitors up to a magnified space which will display timepieces, fine
jewellery and exceptional leather bags.
The Louis Vuitton Island Maison at Marina Bay Sands will be the fifth store for the brand in Singapore and
opens to the public on 18 September 2011.

Louis Vuitton is proud to announce the reopening of its store in Greenbelt 4, Manila this October after an intensive expansion project and renovation program. First opened in 2003 on Makati Avenue,the Louis Vuitton store has always been one of the most popular anchor brands of the premier shopping arcade in Makati.
Today, this expansion re-affirms the Malletier’s confidence in the Philippine retail market. Featuring a uniquely conceived façade inspired by the brand’s signature Damier pattern, the new store is a testament to Vuitton’s spirit of combining innovative retail concepts with the tradition of savoir-faire and travel legacy.
The new store will be transformed into a 2-level luxury retail space. The store’s main entrance opens up
into an intimate travel area on the left and an expansive leather goods bar to the right. A few short steps
lead you up to the mezzanine floor where a dedicated Men’s Area is located. The main staircase takes you
down to the Women’s Universe featuring a vast array of leather goods, shoes, and accessories. An entire
wall showcases Rare & Exceptional pieces on this lower floor.
Aside from a special room dedicated to after-sales services, a highlight of the new store will be the unique
and luxurious VIP salon, offering the ultimate personal and luxurious shopping experience.

I've heard rumors about this for a long time but it's finally coming, a new Louis Vuitton Boutique at the Tyson's Galleria Mall! Chock-full of designer names, the Galleria is the premiere shopping mall in Northern Virginia. Hmmmm...I guess my store will be dissolved...

Louis Vuitton will open its first space dedicated solely to its fine jewellery and watches in Paris next year. The address ~ 23 Place Vendôme , one of the most exclusive places in the world for high jewellery. Spearheaded last year by Lorenz Bäumer with his L’Ame du Voyage Collection for LV, this is an excellent marketing strategy for the Fashion House to become a major player in the world of fine jewels. “The Louis Vuitton store at place Vendôme is as fundamental a step for our jewellery collection as our workshop at Asnières was for our trunks in 1859 or as our workshop in Fiesso d’Artico in Italy was for our shoes in 2000,” says Yves Carcelle, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton Malletier. The boutique is scheduled to open late 2011. I guess a trip to the City of Lights is in order. LVoe it!!!

On May 28, 2010, the new flagship store of Louis Vuitton in Bond Street, London opens its doors to an awaiting public. Designed by New York architect Peter Marino, the ground floor will be devoted to accessories as the artwork of Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince watch vigilantly. Glass stairs will lead you to the lower ground floor that plays host to LV's male clientele in some sort of men's club as their significant others flex their plastics on the first floor of womenswear and shoes. Unique to this Maison is a Librairie that will house Britain's contemporary art literatura. And finally, an exclusive second étage that is for by-invitation-only customers. Don't you just LVoe Store Openings? But this one is ultra-special due to an artwork gracing its floor. Executed by renowned French artist Vincent Dubourg, the patinated cast bronze and polished cast aluminum sculpture is entitled "Suitcase in Exile", a coffee table that was produced in 2008 by the artist's atelier in a limited edition of 8. Jeff and I went out for pizza tonite and we decided to pass by the mall for a quick run through. As we were leaving, I saw this posted at our local Bloomies. LVoe it...it will be our 6th store in the Greater Washington Area though I heard rumours that one might be closing...yikes!

It's time to unveil the 'limited editions' that were released specially to mark the opening of Louis Vuitton at ION Orchard. Called the Louis Vuitton Orchard Road Singapore collection, it's not 100% true that these pieces were just made specifically for us. Many of them are new season items like the Irene or just have the words 'Louis Vuitton Orchard Road Singapore' slapped across the box or tag.

The most prized of them all (in my opinion anyway) would be the Louis Vuitton Monogram Miroir Bel-Air in Gold. Only 100 available, the clutch comes with its own removable chain strap.


I'm actually liking this, the Louis Vuitton Apparence Transparent Sunglasses, which is actually from the next season. Made specifically for the boys, I love how the transparent acetate frame looks. There is also another pair for the ladies, the Louis Vuitton Soupcon Sunglasses which feature 'inclusion' details (inspired by the fancy jewellery).


Then there is this pair of ballerinas in Bronze, which feature the tinsels, stones and ribbons left over from the current season. There are also 6 silk trench coats for the ladies, 12 lambskin miniskirts (think perforated like the Mahina) and 80 cotton tees which has a removable patch on the shoulder that matches the ballerinas above.

Taken as a whole the collection is really ho-hum, though there are a couple of star pieces (like the sunglasses). Still I am thankful that they did not do a Merlion charm.

One of my patron saints is San Antonio de Padua, so I was happy to learn that a Louis Vuitton Boutique has opened in his famed city. For the ocassion LV has commissioned their artisans to design and manufacture what Italy is known for the world over: SHOES! These Limited Edition Men and Women's footwear are only available at the Paduan Store. The patchwork women's heels are constructed of leather and python illuminated with metallic details of rivets & plates. The understated men's moccasin on the other hand, are made out of calfskin. Both have a signature buckle that I'm not quite sure if it is specific only for this collection of two. It finishes them both quite perfectly! Sigh, I wish it were just a hop, skip and a jump away. Congratulations, Padova for your new Louis Vuitton Boutique, LVoe it!!!

The very first Louis Vuitton store that is situated below ground level(hence the name), opens tomorrow May 30. Located within the flagship of Seibu Department Stores in Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, this limited "installation" is a concept store outfitted with packing crates to display LV merchandise. The latest collaboration of an artist with Louis Vuitton is not designing a bag or ready to wear, but commissioning Turner Prize Winning Artist, Jeremy Deller to produce an urban garden for the opening of LV's latest store in the retail island of Westfield, in London’s Shepherds Bush. After which, Deller’s botanical installation will be donated to the Hammersmith Community Gardens Project. LVoe it!!!

A belated congratz to male Londoners of all ages, Louis Vuitton has opened its Men's store in the new Harrods Ground Floor Menswear area on April 29,2009. This is the first freestanding Louis Vuitton boutique in all of Europe that is dedicated exclusively to the LV Man. Ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, accesories and watches are available in this store. I can't wait to see it. LVoe it!!!
