I was never one to wear boots in the middle of summer much more suede shoes. So the the Ankle Boot in Calf Skin Suede was a bit of a surprise to me since it's considered a Summer 2011 Men's collection. I have yet to make the leap and get me some Louis Vuitton footwear. I'm just afraid that I am too obsessed with Louis to just let go and live with the scatches and dirt that comes with wearing them. So, as I was mulling over the newly released Winter 2009 shoes, I happened upon this mule in their Open Styles section. Called the Emir, it is grained calf leather that is accesorized with rivets and a buckle. Should I?

One of my patron saints is San Antonio de Padua, so I was happy to learn that a Louis Vuitton Boutique has opened in his famed city. For the ocassion LV has commissioned their artisans to design and manufacture what Italy is known for the world over: SHOES! These Limited Edition Men and Women's footwear are only available at the Paduan Store. The patchwork women's heels are constructed of leather and python illuminated with metallic details of rivets & plates. The understated men's moccasin on the other hand, are made out of calfskin. Both have a signature buckle that I'm not quite sure if it is specific only for this collection of two. It finishes them both quite perfectly! Sigh, I wish it were just a hop, skip and a jump away. Congratulations, Padova for your new Louis Vuitton Boutique, LVoe it!!!

We've seen the preview of Martin Louis' shoes from the Fall Winter 2009-2010 Men's Fashion show but here are the latest installments from his shoe collection. Appropriately named Velcro'd Up, it comes in several colorways with double velcro straps that have that signature thick lip in the back that serves as an ankle pad. Women's get the adorable, tasseled laces. Soon to be released in June 2009. LVoe it!!!

Now, before the winter is over, and we start pulling out our flip flops and strappy sandals, I wanted to feature this High Boot in calf leather. These all terrain boots features an insulating fur lining, two-toned sole and an embossed Damier pattern that gives away it's LV-ness.
