Even though I was sorely disappointed that I did not get to see the Rayures today, I was pleasantly surprised by the windows. Louis Vuitton's theme for this Holiday is the circus, so our store had a balancing striped elephant and trapeze swings to showcase the bags. It's very cute so I urge you to go visit your boutique, but if not I hope my amateur photos will do. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

OOOOOOHHHHHH...a new book is coming out!!! Slated to be released early October, the book features Louis Vuitton stores worldwide which I know have become landmarks in themselves. There's a bookstore edition for $85, but for a few bucks more, you can acquire the limited editions ones from boutiques for $130. LVoe it!!!

The Louis Vuitton Ostriches have finally arrived in my local store. This time, not a whole bird is featured unlike that of New York but it appears that the bags have grown Struthio legs. I should have taken a photo of the whole window so you could've seen the full effect of the pair that were about to drop from the ceiling. It's pretty funny.




The "Eggs" window looks like a huge incubator where Vuitton SLG's are hatching before your eyes. It's really a clever way of showcasing the collections and definitely would stop you in your tracks to take a second LVook!

I just noticed that our store had changed there posters into these amazing photos of a bygone era featuring Vuitton trunks. Even though LV is a recognizable bag brand anywhere, not a lot of people know that the founder started off as a trunk maker. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

In the grand tradition of Louis Vuitton Lover, I present the summer windows! I really enjoy it when I can bring the LV Boutique windows to my readers especially to those who do not have a local store near them. This summer, they are decked with miniature modes of luxury transport that are tugging and pulling on Vuitton pieces. They are quite adorable and I applaud the men and women behind these whimsical eye catchers. LVoe it!!!

Jeff had a friend visiting from Korea who wanted to take a day trip to New York City. So when he asked me if I wanted to go, I couldn't say "yes" any faster because I knew that the Met had just opened the "Savage Beauty" exhibit in honour of the late Alexander McQueen. Running from May 4, 2011 to July 31, 2011, I couldn't pass the opportunity. Of course, on the way to the Met, an obligatory stop at the Maison was in order.
Ahhhh...it was like visiting a grand ol' house...
...with an ostrich for a butler!

These windows are so creative! LVoe it!!!

The Ostrich was carrying the Le Délicieux in Shiny Crocodile. Quite an expensive taste to have in one's beak, don't you think?




I must admit that the gaze of the bird was a little unnerving. Even though these are not actual taxidermic specimens, (they are only SIMULATED ostriches) I could almost hear it squack saying that "I died to hold a Louis!"


I wonder how long it took for these exotiques to hatch? Note: supposedly, these are actual ostrich eggs.

I guess Vuitton is pushing the shape of the Lockit to be it's exotic answer to the Birkin.

Sigh, the FAN...it's $4K...boohoo...

I spent a long time relishing the RTW on the second and third floors and took a snap shot of an accessory that stood out for me. Interestingly enough it is called the Savage Pendant. Perfect for the McQueen exhibit!

The entrance to the exhibit is flanked by two McQueen pieces. Unfortunately, you can't take photos inside because the Met does not own all that is on display. I highly recommend the catalogue of the exhibit entitled "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" by Andrew Bolton.
I bought a souvenir ornament of McQueen's Armadillo Shoe and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's made in the Philippines!!! Imelda will be proud of that! LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!!

Well, the Maison at New Bond Street is! Little Queen Elizabeths can be seen waving through their shop windows. The miniature royal comes in either blue or pink and invites customers not only to shop but to enjoy the euphoria that is building up in London town. LVoe, LVoe, LVoe it!!! Photos: vogue.uk
