Don't expect to see a full-on Hills reunion when Kristin Cavallari weds Chicago Bears player Jay Cutler next spring.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday, the 24-year-old reality star said she's planning a "big wedding" -- but some of her former costars may not make the final guest list.
"It either has to be really small, like 40 people, or big, like 400 people. No happy medium!" she said. "Jay has to invite the entire Bears team, and that's a lot of people right there."
While Laguna Beach's Stephen Colletti will score an invite ("He was my high school boyfriend, but now we're really good friends," Cavallari says), her on-screen fling Justin "Bobby" Brescia won't be as lucky.
"It's not that I don't like him, but I haven't talked to him since we finished The Hills," Cavallari explained. "That was a fake relationship."
According to the newly engaged star, former costars Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, Lo Bosworth and Whitney Port won't be in attendance, either.
As for Heidi Montag? "She changed her number; I can't get a hold of her," Cavallari explained, adding that Spencer Pratt comes as "package deal."
Still, Cavallari added that Stephanie Pratt and Audrina Patridge may get to see her walk down the aisle -- if only to meet some of 28-year-old Cutler's teammates.

Kristin Cavallari burst into the spotlight at 15, when she was cast as the bad girl on MTV’s high school reality series, “Laguna Beach.” She hoped to use her celebrity to jumpstart an acting career. After a few years of small roles in small movies, she resumed her reality stardom when the producers of “The Hills” asked Cavallari to replace her “Laguna Beach” nemesis Lauren Conrad on the final season of the reality soap. Now Cavallari is attempting to prove she is more than just a tabloid darling, guest starring on ABC’s hit comedy “The Middle” (Wednesday, 8/7c) and venturing into producing. Cavallari spoke candidly about how MTV’s producers manipulated the casts of its reality shows and how she has learned to take control of her reputation and her career.
Tell me about your character on “The Middle.”
I play Mrs. Devereaux, who is Axl’s (Charlie McDermott) biology teacher. Axl’s Patricia Heaton’s son on the show. He’s in a band. They want to film a music video and they need a hot girl for it so they decide to ask their biology teacher. But when they approach me, I think that women in music videos are just put in a terrible light and say no. So they go about it a different way. They try filming me during class on their flip phones without me knowing.

Were there any funny moments when you were shooting the episode?
One scene I had to do jumping jacks because I’m the biology teacher and I’m explaining about heart rates. So I’m doing jumping jacks and the boys are filming me on their flip phone. Doing something like that in front of a whole camera crew was kind of embarrassing.
Did you audition for this part, or did the show approach you for the role?
I actually read for the casting director about a year ago for a different pilot. Then I met with all the executives at ABC. So between the casting director and the executives, they came up with this role for me.
Are you aggressively pursuing acting right now?
I’m not pursuing it aggressively. I haven’t gone out on a lot of auditions because I’m focusing on producing reality TV shows. There’s one show in particular I’m working on, but we’re about to do the press release, so I can’t tell you about it quite yet.

What inspired you to move into producing?
Well, being on a reality show for a few years, I think I know a thing or two about reality. I like being able to be in charge of everything and putting everything together. I’m working with someone I worked with before. We went out and shot a sizzle reel. We put some girls on tape for it. Then we brought it into this production company we just signed with. Now we’re developing the whole thing. I really enjoyed having a say in what happened and being behind the camera and helping out in that way. It will be nice to be out of the spotlight a little bit too, to be honest.
Now that it’s over, can you reveal how much of the final season of “The Hills” was scripted?
Almost all of it. I think I can say that by now. I guess no one can get mad at me anymore.

You were not always portrayed in the most positive light on “The Hills.” You were supposedly partying too hard and using drugs. Are you concerned that damaged your reputation?
They told me they weren’t going to do any of that stuff. Basically, all that was to get ratings. I was on the cover of Us Weekly saying I need to go to rehab and that my parents wanted me to go to rehab. Both of my parents were like, “Oh, really? Why don’t they call me.” It said that I wasn’t showering. It was so unbelievable. It came and went because obviously I didn’t have a problem whatsoever. But that really pissed me off because MTV did that and there was one producer in particular who was behind all that. So that was really, really hard actually. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. I’m so over it by now. But everything else, I was a willing participant. I didn’t hang out with those people. I had all my friends that were never filmed. It was work three days a week. We’d go to work, do three scenes a day, change, do another scene, and then you leave and you have your other life, your private life.

Had you even been in touch with any of your old “Laguna Beach” castmates before the producers asked you to come spice up “The Hills”?
The only person that was still on from “Laguna Beach” was Lo [Bosworth]. But no, I hadn’t been talking to Lo. Brody [Jenner] and Frankie [Delgado] were the only ones I kept in contact with. I didn’t even know Stacie [Hall] or Stephanie [Pratt] or half the people when I joined the cast.
What do you think about Lauren Conrad’s new reality show being shelved for being too high brow or dull for MTV?
I didn’t know that was the reason why. I think right now MTV has “Jersey Shore” and “Skins” which are very controversial. Lauren’s a very nice girl. She’s very sweet, but that’s not always entertaining.

It seems like almost everyone who was on “Laguna Beach” had the course of their life altered. You, L.C. and Lo are reality stars. Some others have unfortunately struggled with substance abuse problems. Do you think it was, on the whole, worth it for all you to grow up in front of America?
I don’t regret anything I’ve done. It’s been hard. I was fifteen years old when “Laguna Beach” came in. I think it was really unfair how they messed with our lives like that. We were so young. We didn’t know exactly what they were doing. Watching the show really broke my heart. [When] the first episode of “Laguna Beach” [aired], I locked myself in the bathroom and was crying for hours because I was so upset about how they were portraying me. But that’s why going into “The Hills,” I knew exactly what I was getting into. I wasn’t going to let them mess with me. That’s why I went into it saying, “Whatever you guys want me to do, I’ll do. Don’t mess with me. I’ll be a participant.” They’re very shady with you. And that’s what they did when we were doing “Laguna Beach” and we were so young to be doing that. So it’s just how my life has gone. It’s the path that I’ve chosen. It’s all been worth it.

Can you give me an example of the producers being shady?
The first season of “The Hills” they had Justin and I dating on the show. Justin wouldn’t want to come film sometimes because he didn’t think that I really liked him. So the producers would have me text him, “No Justin, I really want you to come.” But I was game for it. Stephen [Coletti] was my boyfriend on “Laguna Beach.” They would be, like [to him], “We just want to get you coming up to Lauren’s house, but we’re not going to make it seem like you guys are dating.” They’d have him bring her flowers. All that stuff.
You recently tweeted that there was a phony rumor that you were engaged. How does it make you feel when you’re the subject of false gossip?

It’s just so stupid. I mean, I’ve heard that Jay [Cutler] and I have been engaged I think five times now. It’s one thing after another. You don’t let it get to you. If you do, you’ll drive yourself crazy. I don’t read the magazines or gossip sites. But you always hear about it from friends. Someone is always telling you stuff. We were just in Bora Bora and I landed to five different text messages from my friends [saying] “Are you engaged?” It’s kind of funny at this point.
Where do you think you would be today if MTV hadn’t decided to film a reality series at your high school?
Gosh. I really wanted to go to Emerson in Boston and study broadcast journalism. I wanted to become a news anchor or an entertainment host and work my way in that way. So, I don’t know. Hopefully I would be doing something like that.
What advice would you give to people who are auditioning for a reality show? What about someone who was just cast?

For someone auditioning, I would have to say you’ve got to be yourself because if you’re trying to be someone fake just to get attention it will come out eventually. So be yourself, but be the most dramatic self you can be. For “Laguna Beach” we had to fill out a twenty page packet. The questions were like “List your five best friends and what you hate about them.” One of the questions was, “Who do you think is going to be prom queen?’ My answer was, “I don’t know and I don’t care as long as it’s not Lauren Conrad.” Doing stuff like that gets attention. Be dramatic and play it up a little bit, but not over the top where it’s obvious you’re not being yourself whatsoever. If someone’s going to be on one, you’re going to have to get a thick skin really quickly. Don’t go on the Internet. Don’t read the gossip sites or the tabloids, because no matter what you do not everyone will like you.

He won us over with his complete lack of charm and player ways.
Just one look at his shaggy hair, unkempt stubble and scruffy clothes had us hooked.
And in no time at all, Justin Bobby was the only Hills heart-throb we were interested in.
But while his on/ off relationship with Audrina Patridge made for the ultimate in reality TV viewing we haven't heard hide nor hair of JB since.
So what's Justin been up to since he last rode off into the LA sunset on his beloved
Harley?
Living the rock 'n' roll lifestyle? Breaking girls' hearts all over the shop?
Truth be told, we're not entirely sure. What we do know is that Justin has recently been spotted meandering the streets of New York, arm in arm with a female friend and sporting some well-kept facial hair.
The rugged man beast is gone and in his place there looks to be a long-tressed, dapper-looking gentleman. Sob.
All that's left to do is start a petition to get JB his own show or at the very least to make an appearance on Audrina's new series looking exactly like he did in his scruffy Hills heyday.
Where do we sign?

Audrina Patridge is all smiles as she arrives back at her hotel after a day of photoshoots around London.
In a recent interview with BANG Showbiz Audrina reported that despite dating her ex Justin Bobby on-and-off for over four years, she never really got to know the real Justin because he was always playing out a different part for her and the cameras.
Audrina said: "I don't see him anymore, no. I saw him at the finale but that was it. I feel like every time I see him, he looks like somebody different. He is attractive. But it's like he's always in character."
The former couple's on/off romance was heavily featured in the MTV reality show, with their frequent break-ups and make-ups keeping fans tuning in week after week.
However, Audrina says the constant camera presence put a huge strain on their relationship, and she wishes they hadn't been as open about their romance.
She said: "It was really hard. That's one bit of advice I'd give anybody about to appear in a reality show - don't bring anyone that your dating onto the show if you really like them. It just makes it awkward, because when you're on camera, it's almost as if you're having two different relationships. That's what started happening to me. Two or three months later they'd show those episodes where I was talking to the girls about what happened, then he'd be like, 'I can't believe you said that!' And it causes a fight, because of that."
Rows between the pair often escalated in front of the cameras, and Audrina admits she would have done anything for some privacy.
She explained: "Oh I would try to run away from the cameras and they would chase me. There's no getting away from them. I would take my mic off and shout, 'Stop, go away'. But there was nothing I could do. I signed the contract."
As for her current love life Audrina is dating Australian BMX rider Corey Bohan and she says "it's the best it has ever been."
She tweeted about him last night:

So remember when "The Hills" ended, and the camera focused in on Brody Jenner, and the Hollywood sign backdrop was wheeled away revealing a backlot and it was all confusing and nobody really knew what it meant (except maybe Justin Bobby because he hides all those secrets in his hair)?
Well, it's actually pretty simple, really. The cast of "The Hills" is relocating to Miami (better hawk that plane to ticket to Europe, Kristin), where they'll go to the gym, do laundry and tan. They'll suck on pickles like a pregnant woman in her third trimester, fist pump like champs and creep on every guidette and juicehead in a six-mile radius of South Beach. Wait—what did you say? That's "Jersey Shore"? Oh, shoot—we already created the graphics for the new and improved "Hills." Sheesh, well, before you tune into the "Jersey Shore" premiere tonight, check out what could have been (including a Snooki-fied Heidi Montag).

Hilarious but kind of odd that they included Jason don't you think?

Adam DiVello has plenty of dirt on Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari and Heidi Montag and her bizarre relationship with Spencer Pratt, but the creator and executive producer of MTV’s hit reality shows “The Hills” and “The City” isn’t about to spill the beans.
He maintains that what you see is really what you get on reality television, and the series finale of “The Hills” Tuesday night closed a significant chapter for the gaggle of Los Angeles youngsters whose lives DiVello has followed for the past five years, ending with Cavallari moving on from longtime love interest Brody Jenner and leaving for Europe.
But he is already moving on to the next reality project, although he’s mum on specifics.
“People enjoy watching other people’s lives unfold,” DiVello says. “For ‘The Hills,’ there was an aspirational element, but at the core of it, any teenager who is still in high school or college and is wondering what their future will be like can relate.” DiVello started his career at MTV in 1997 as a personal assistant in the network’s video tape library. He quickly worked his way up, eventually producing shows such as “Spring Break” and developing “Room Raiders” and “Say What? Karaoke,” among other programs.
When Liz Gateley, his boss at the time, suggested a reality show centered around a California high school — a sort of “Beverly Hills, 90210” for the reality TV generation— DiVello jumped at the chance. The show, “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” followed the lives of a group of suntanned and spoiled frenemies, turning Conrad and Cavallari into tabloid mainstays. DiVello eventually started his own production company, and pitched the network “The Hills.”
“I wanted to take Lauren and follow her to Los Angeles,” DiVello recalls. “She wants to be a fashion designer, and I thought it was so aspirational, this little girl from Laguna Beach who always wanted the boy but always lost him to the bad girl. She was kind of every girl.”
And the rest is reality TV history. “The pieces all came together perfectly,” DiVello says. “Lauren had met Heidi at fashion school in San Francisco, and Heidi was looking to move to L.A. I had found Audrina by the pool in their complex. Whitney Port was an intern at WWD, and had applied for an internship at Teen Vogue.”
After shooting the pilot, MTV gave a green light to the project, and Anna Wintour agreed to allow the camera crews in Teen Vogue’s Los Angeles offices, where both Conrad and Port were interns. “Before you knew it,” says DiVello, “Jason Wahler came back into the picture, and a season later, Spencer came into the picture, and their lives just started to unfold in front of our eyes.”
Nevertheless, “We were surprised that it became such a pop cultural phenomenon,” he says. “You never expect to you will be landing covers of Us Weekly every week, or the cover of Rolling Stone. Luckily, Lauren was a character America knew, and she was magic. Everything that she felt was on her face. We didn’t need the confessionals. You really knew what she was thinking by looking at her.”
DiVello claims Conrad’s emotions were real and raw, not scripted. “It is all based in reality and it is their reality,” he says. “We don’t come up with characters. We have a story team that works on the show, and they talk to the kids constantly, and they are always BBMing and texting with them. They always know what’s going on in their lives, and we choose what we do and don’t want to follow.
“If someone is getting their wisdom teeth out that week, it’s probably not something we want to follow,” he says. “But if she is having her wisdom teeth taken out, and has some huge event she has to go to that same night and has to miss it, then it becomes a story...People ask me all the time if we write it, and my answer is always that we write it in the edits.”
As for the made-for-primetime boyfriends — Brody, Justin-Bobby and, most toxic of all, Spencer — they naturally and quite fortuitously came into the picture.
“We would never tell [the girls] whom to date, and whom not to date,” DiVello says. “This is all them, and in the situation with Audrina and Justin, it was such a great, relatable storyline. There is always the one girl who is in love with the bad boy. It was fun watching her grappling with whether she should be with him or not.”
As for the train wreck behavior of Heidi and Spencer, which ranged from her Barbie doll transformation to his newfound faith in New Age crystals, DiVello underscored that their actions were always their decision. “People ask me a lot if what they are doing is real, and how much of it we are in the loop,” he says. “I say, ‘We show up and shoot.’ We never know what’s really going on. We were lucky enough to get Heidi and Spencer’s wedding on tape and we watched the evolution of that relationship...[Heidi and Spencer]...have probably been through the most media wise, and that changes people. They were living their lives on the show and in the media. I don’t think you can come out of that unchanged.”
But when it comes to the (slightly) more grounded members of the cast, Lauren and Whitney remain the break out stars. “Lauren is a very smart girl,” DiVello says. “I think that one day she will be a great producer herself. She gets it and has a good handle on the business. She has been very successful with her books and her clothing line. Whitney was a fan favorite, because she was there every listening to Lauren and giving her advice. When she fell down in Hilary Swank’s Oscar dress, everyone fell in love with her.”
Looking ahead, DiVello has been talking with studios about a new scripted concept. He’s started pre-production on the next season of “The City,” and the team is honing in on new locations and cast members. “We end the season with a big cliffhanger for Whitney, which will change her relationship with Kelly Cutrone.”
Speaking of the People’s Revolution chief, she has played a key role in both “The Hills” and “The City,” and her presence has done much to spice up the sometimes mundane world of these twentysomethings. “Who doesn’t love Kelly Cutrone?” DiVello says. “She is definitely unguarded and says exactly what she is thinking. She brings with her this wisdom. She has been in business for a long time. She is the ultimate fairy godmother for these kids. When she sees BS, she calls it.”
After five years, DiVello already knows he is going to miss the cast and crew of “The Hills.”
“The only thing we write are those ‘Previously on’ scenes at the beginning of each episode, and they always end with something like ‘I was about to discover that everything is about to change.,’” DiVello said. “[At the wrap-up party], I made a shoutout, and I said that this time it’s for real. Everything is about to change for everybody.”
