Looks like Heidi Montag’s mom Darlene Egelhoff could soon be asking her famous daughter for another loan - after she announced on her blog that a Colorado Sheriff issued her a summons for $100,000 in unpaid bills, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Darlene’s restaurant recently went-under and now her hard-up family is being hit with the huge tab to pay for a breach of contract with their former landlords.
But despite the financial blow, Darlene seems to be taking a practical view of her situation.
In the blog entry entitled You Got Served Darlene wrote: “We are served papers by the county deputy sheriff, a very tall, overly happy gentleman, given his present task at hand. “That’s all I do anymore” he says “Serve papers, you’re not alone, it’s a sign of the times” he was trying to be nice and help us to feel comfortable.
“It is a notice of court summons to pay an excess of one hundred thousand dollars for a breech (sic) of contract from the restaurant we were evicted from and forced to close by the landlords themselves because we were delinquent with rent.
“We were forced to surrender eighty thousand dollars of equipment and fixtures to them already, of which the value far surpassed the debt.
“A new tenant is already in the space so they are not out any future earnings either, unless they have significantly reduced the rent for the new tenants. If that’s the case, that’s all the help we would have needed, and had been refused, to hang tough and ride out the economic storm as we were on a good upward trend and would liked to have stayed for twenty more years. Where’s Robin Hood when you need him?”
RadarOnline.com recently revealed how Egelhoff was charging $5,000.00 for speaking engagements via the blog Metamorphosis of a Mother, on top of her fee she also requires travel and hotel arrangements to be covered - though church groups can book her for free!
Egelhoff and Heidi have not been in touch for about one year and in her blog she openly writes about her family struggles and even posts photos of happier times, including Heidi and her sister Holly smiling and making silly faces.
Now more than ever, Egelhoff may be in need of money after recently revealing in an on-camera interview that as a result of tough economic times she has had to earn an income working as a maid since being forced to close the doors of her family-owned restaurant in Crested Butte.
Egelhoff tries to put on a brave face about her latest financial hardship but admits that the stress is beginning to get to both her and their family.
She writes: “You must be willing to change and be flexible, learn to adapt, have the ability to fail and rebound. Life will never be problem free. My goal is to be happy regardless of my circumstances, careful what you pray for.
“I am certainly learning the hard way. You can put on love and patience like clothes. My goal is stability, I don’t want to ride the emotional roller coaster again, it makes me nauseous. I change my focus but my feelings are still yucky. I frantically try and distract myself by being productive.
“We assumed this was coming, which is the sole purpose we have already begun the process to file for bankruptcy, we were caught up with all our other creditors with the exception of the IRS and you can’t bankrupt them. That’s a debt we’ll be paying for years to come, oh well.”
But she won’t be getting any financial help from her son- in-law Spencer Pratt.
The former Hills star recently blasted Darlene and her blog, hitting out at his mother-in-law who criticized his wife’s lavish lifestyle.
He said: “If I need an acting coach, I would go to Darlene - she can turn on the waterworks like she's Julia Roberts."
"The lady's such a hypocrite," he added.
"I wish Dr. Frank Ryan was alive to tell you, he was in talks with [Egelhoff] to do a full body makeover. The list was so long, longer than Heidi's ten, I'll tell you that."
I really like Darlene's blog. She writes honestly and candidly about her life and her struggles. If you haven't checked out her blog yet, Click Here To Read it.

Heidi Montag's Mom in Tears Over Her Plastic Surgery
ET is with Heidi Montag's mom Darlene as she watches her reality star daughter's controversial plastic surgery video for the first time, and it brings forth tears…
"I just want to start over," she tells ET, wiping away the tears. "I just want to kidnap her and take her and throw her in the car and drive her away. Talk some sense into her. … I wish I could have had a stronger influence on her, you know, just to have her think differently."
Heidi never told her mom she was going under the knife -- much less 10 different procedures in one day -- and the world saw Darlene's shocked reaction on "The Hills" upon seeing Heidi, post-surgery, for the first time.
"Her face … it was still very frozen and kind of swollen," recalls Darlene of the unscripted reality moment. "My heart sunk into my stomach … the fact that she'd gone through something so excruciating, and unnecessarily."
Under the pressure of the cameras, Darlene confesses she "had to spit out all these things I wanted to say that came out too harsh and too aggressive," and now admits, "She has never spoken to me again."
"I definitely had to express my feelings -- it's my responsibility as a parent to speak the truth to my child," she explains. "I can only do that, regardless of the consequences. I will not sit back, even if it's at the cost of a relationship."
Asked if she blames Hollywood for her daughter's extreme makeover, Darlene says, "I feel like that's probably not the best career for her … because of the extremes that she has taken it to."
Darlene, who now works as a house cleaner to pay the bills, writes about the ups and downs of being estranged from her famous daughter on her blog "Metamorphosis of a Mother" at www.darleneegelhoff.com.
"Heidi is just this beautiful, genuine, very loving, very kind, just amazing spirit," says Darlene. "She's the kind of person that would take her jacket on the street and hand it to somebody, and I think she has lost some of that in the world she's in, but she's living in a very superficial world."
If you haven't read Darlene's blog yet, you really should. It's about her estrangement from Heidi but also so much more. Click here to check it out.

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt to Renew Wedding Vows
Get ready for Speidi's Wedding: The Sequel!
On-again spouses Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are going to renew their wedding vows later this month, they tell Entertainment Tonight.
The Hills pair briefly separated and filed divorce papers over the summer before reuniting.
"This is like our first marriage," coos Montag, 24, to ET. After a quickie elopement, she and Pratt, 27, walked down the aisle in April 2009 while MTV's cameras rolled.
"I feel like our first [wedding] was an elopement and we had so many margaritas and it was such a crazy time," she says.
"And then the second one wasn't our wedding. It was just a Hills wedding and it was for all the people there and it was about everyone else."
Out of the spotlight for now, Montag adds, "We had just gone through so much crazy stuff personally and through our jobs and everything, so for me this feels like our first real marriage. Like our first restart. We deserve a second chance at our marriage and really having this moment and not being robbed of this."
Stepping out with her husband at a Vegas Halloween bash Oct. 30, the reality star told Us she's "enjoying our relationship. I had so much going on before, I didn't have a chance to enjoy being a newlywed."
No word on where the vow renewal will take place or who's been invited. Montag's mom, Darlene Egelhoff, recently said she hasn't spoken to her daughter in 9 months.

Heidi Montag's Mother is Now a Maid
While Heidi Montag and her douche hubby Spencer Pratt are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on crystals, Heidi's mother Darlene Egelhoff is cleaning houses to make ends meet.
Heidi infamously cut her mom out of her life after her mom expressed how disappointed she was in her getting 10 surgeries. Darlene's restaurant went under after 21 years and now she's cleaning homes in her native Crested Butte, Colo., to survive.
Darlene admits some of her new employers recognize her from The Hills, but she's humbled by it, not embarrassed.
"That's very humbling for me and I very much appreciate that experience because I don’t ever want to get full of myself and think I’m too good to do anything,"
Darlene told Inside Edition on Thursday.
She confessed that her and Heidi haven't spoken for at least nine month and she doesn't expect her to help her while she's struggling financially, but she is hoping for a reconciliation.
According to Us Weekly, in a desperate attempt to get back in contact with Heidi, she's launched a personal blog, Metamorphosis of a Mother, in the hopes that Heidi may read it one of these days.

Heidi Montag Hasn't Spoken to Her Mother in 6 Months
Heidi Montag's mother, Darlene Egelhoff, says she has "endless, sleepless nights" worrying about her Reality TV star daughter, who turned 24 on Wednesday. She hasn't spoken to her daughter since the two had a falling out six months ago over Heidi's dramatic plastic surgery transformation.
She wrote on her blog: "Heidi hasn't spoken to me in six months most likely because in her mind I betrayed and hurt her and likely because she's assuming the worst of me. I handled her situation poorly and regretfully.
"Knowing in my heart I said what I thought might have the best chance of getting through to her, to MAKE her know that her precious, authentic self was the most beautiful of all God's creations, doesn't help my endless, sleepless nights or my ruminating thoughts of how I should have done things differently."
Heidi - who this week reconciled with husband Spencer Pratt, underwent ten cosmetic procedures in a single day including brow lifts, ear-pinnings and a chin reduction and has previously confessed to being "addicted" to plastic surgery.
Darlene said that when Heidi revealed her new body to her on a TV show it was one of the "worst experiences" of her life, but she now wants to reconcile with her daughter.
She added: "God knows my motives were from the heart and out of desperation to save her from what I felt was a destructive, dangerous path being influenced by people who were profiting and benefitting from her.
"I have no way of contacting her. And yes, admittedly I do hope she reads this and knows how deeply and achingly I love and miss her and she'll call me."
