The Best & Worst Dressed at the 'New Year's Eve' Premiere

Hollywood's hottest came out in droves to celebrate the world premiere of New Year's Eve. An ageless Michelle Pfeiffer made her triumphant red carpet return, while Katherine Heigl took her hair to new heights. From Lea Michele in plunging Valentino to Fergie in mirrored Monique Lhuillier, check out who ruled the star-studded event!

Lea Michele stole the show at the New Year's Eve premiere in a breathtaking champagne Valentino gown. While the deep-plunging neckline was certainly the focal point of the look, Lea accessorized with Neil Lane jewelry and (hidden) Louboutins. Veronica Lake-inspired waves and scaled back makeup made this look a definite winner.

Hilary Swank covered up her famously toned arms in a romantic Elie Saab Couture dress. The intricate midnight-blue mini was an inspired and ultra-feminine choice for the star. She teamed her beaded frock with a pair of glittery Christian Louboutin pumps and Neil Lane jewels.

Fergie sizzled at the New Year's Eve premiere in a mirrored Monique Lhuillier dress. She played up the va-va-voom appeal of the ultra-fitted dress with side-swept curls, crimson lips and a come hither stare.

We loved Sofia Vergara's subtly sultry look at the New Year's Eve premiere. While the Modern Family star typically plays up her undeniable sex appeal in a more obvious manner, she shone on this occasion in a sophisticated laceZac Posen dress. Cascading curls and a red clutch were spot-on complements to the look.

While it's often tricky for child actors to make the transition into young adulthood, Abigail Breslin seems to having no such problem. The actress looked lovely and age-appropriate in a dove gray Marchesa dress with an intricately embroidered bodice and sheer tulle overlay. A pretty half-up 'do, Cinderella-style heels and petal pink lips finished off her fairy tale look.

Katherine Heigl was a classic beauty at theNew Year's Eve premiere in a perfectly tailored LBD. While gold bow-adorned peep-toes and a sparkly collar necklace were ideal choices in the accessory department, it's hard to overlook her aging hairstyle, which hurt an otherwise flawless look.

The eternally stunning Michelle Pfeiffer made her welcome return to the red carpet in a lovely amethyst sweetheart dress. She accessorized the ultra-flattering cocktail dress with eggplant suede platforms and a snakeskin clutch. Unfussy waves and H. Stern earrings added the perfect amount of oomph to her foxy style.

Mamma Mia! New mother Alyssa Milano brought her girl next door appeal to the premiere in a low-key black dress with asymmetric sleeves. To kick the otherwise staid look up a notch, she expertly accessorized with a pair of super strappy heels, glossy pink lips and sleek tresses.

It's been a while since we've seen actress Christine Lakin light up the red carpet. TheStep by Step alum brought shine to the event in an aqua sequined frock. She accented her dazzling style with pewter peep-toes and a youthful ponytail with face-framing bangs.
