Long a magnet for the hip and rich, W Hotel has (finally) taken wraps off its latest outpost, W Paris-Opera. Taking up residence in a magnificent Haussman-era heritage building, the hotel is a stone's throw away from Galeries Lafayette and Printemps.

Decked out in warm accents and custom made furnishings, the 91 guestrooms overlook the Opera Garnier and the bustling streets of the 9th arrondisement.

Rebellious and Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola heads Arola, a champion of the 'Pica Pica' culinary concept. Instead of the typical three-course meals, Arola will offer a variety of creative dishes and French classics, served on a platter in the middle of the table for all to enjoy - a concept similar to traditional Chinese dining.

With "The Spark" as prompt, design maestro Diego Gronda wrapped the interior in an alluring stream of illuminating dots - an allusion to Paris as La Ville Lumiere. The sparks are artfully reimagined in the lobby, restaurants and bedrooms.
